Sibelius Symphony No. 7

Named Young Artist of the Year by Gramophone magazine in 2022, Johan Dalene is already one of the most admired violinists in the world of classical music. Le Monde writes of him that "he makes his Stradivarius sing like a master" and Diapason writes that "he is not merely a virtuoso like so many others, he is a voice". Having won the Carl Nielsen Competition in 2019, it is precisely with a work by the Danish composer that he presents himself at Gulbenkian Música, performing the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, op. 33. The programme also includes the original Sibelius Symphony No. 7, composed of a single movement.
