Sinfonia Incompleta

In this programme we will hear the last complete work by Alban Berg, his fascinating Violin Concerto, completed in 1935, months before his death, but also Schubert's Symphony No. 8, which the composer left unfinished in 1822. To these two pieces we add Blumine, a work inspired by a popular German poem that originally appeared as the second movement of Mahler's Symphony No. 1.
