Dvořák Cello Concerto
Orquestra Gulbenkian

Maximilian Hornung is one of today's most notable cellists, thanks to a combination of impeccable technique with a sonority that exemplarily traverses a vast palette of colours. Public recognition of his talent began with two consecutive ECHO Klassic Award distinctions in 2011 and 2012: the first for his debut album and the second for his recording of Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor. It is to this passionate work, one of the Czech composer's final creations during his stay in New York, that he now returns in this performance with the Orquestra Gulbenkian and conductor Nuno Coelho.
