Quarteto Belcea

"Beethoven's music has been at the center of our life as a quartet since the very first rehearsal, in 1994." Thus stated the musicians of the Quarteto Belcea, in 2019, when their acclaimed recording of the complete string quartets by the German composer was reissued. During the period in which they dedicated themselves to this demanding work, the musicians say they discovered the authentic dimension of their passion for Beethoven's music, whose quartets form "one of the most complete and powerful musical statements ever made".
