Trio Amatis / Thomas Quasthoff

Humanity in War is a project by Trio Amatis that alternates the performance of a set of musical pieces with the reading of war letters, in a call to attention to those behind the numbers relating to the armed conflicts that afflict humanity. Drawing from a collection of letters and diaries from the First World War period, narrated by the legendary singer Thomas Quasthoff, Trio Amatis creates a moving concert that transcends musical performance and proposes a profound relationship between art and the desire for tolerance, respect and dignity among peoples.
