Published in London in 1734, at the height of Georg Friedrich Handel's operatic success in the British capital, the Concerti Grossi Op. 3 exemplify the composer's stylistic eclecticism, reconciling the Italian tradition inherited from Arcangelo Corelli with the theatricality and inventiveness characteristic of his writing.

The collection brings together six concertos of strong expressive contrast, constructed from two to five movements of diverse nature, often performed independently. In this concert, Les Musiciens du Louvre, under the direction of Marc Minkowski, an unquestionable reference in the interpretation of baroque repertoire, bring these pages to life with energy, elegance and stylistic refinement.
