Carlos Bica & Azul

Among the various musical projects that Carlos Bica leads, his trio AZUL with guitarist Frank Möbus and drummer Jim Black has become the hallmark of the bassist and composer. It was with these two musicians, who are now an integral part of the project's musical personality, that Bica inaugurated his personal discography – in 1996, the album was called Azul and so was the group. With Frank Möbus on guitar and Jim Black on drums, the Portuguese musician created the ideal showcase for his compositions. The lineup has remained unchanged, maturing into a musical identity that is now inseparable from Bica himself. This musical empathy between the musicians is one of AZUL's most fascinating characteristics. In this concert, the trio celebrates 30 years of freedom and creativity.
