Anna Webber: Shimmer Wince

Flautist, saxophonist and composer, Anna Webber has earned a well-deserved and prominent place on the New York jazz scene in recent years, cementing a reputation as an innovative musician and securing spots on best-of-the-year lists from outlets such as the New York Times and National Public Radio. For this quintet, formed by other leading figures of American jazz (Adam O'Farrill, Mariel Roberts, Elias Stemeseder and Lesley Mok), Webber composed music based on an ancient tuning system, grounded in natural harmonics and the resonance of notes.
