Carlitos, the shy dreamer, and Eduardinho, the fearless leader, court Teresinha, the only girl in the group. To demonstrate his affection, Carlitos steals a doll and one night runs across the rooftops to deliver it. Tension increases between the boys and the group begins to turn against Carlitos.
