100 Miles – Centennial Celebration of Miles Davis

A Incubadora d'Artes, in collaboration with Grammy-winning music producer and keyboardist Jason Miles, presents the unique show 100 Miles – Centennial Celebration of Miles Davis, a commemorative concert celebrating the centennial of Miles Davis, on November 12, 2026, at the Grande Auditório of Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon.

A central figure in the final phase of Miles Davis's career, alongside Marcus Miller, Jason Miles participated in the creation of landmark albums such as Tutu, Amandla and Siesta, works that profoundly marked the evolution of contemporary jazz. Currently resident in Lisbon, the musician presents a retrospective that spans different periods of Davis's work, reflecting the lasting impact of his legacy. Jason Miles has also developed a career marked by collaborations with some of the most prominent names in international music, including Sting, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. He was awarded a Grammy Award and nominated for three others.

The concert will feature an international cast of recognized merit, including trumpeter Randy Brecker, saxophonist Ada Rovatti, drummer Gene Lake, bassist Federico Malaman and guitarist Tiago Oliveira, and will also feature special appearances by Rita Guerra and Rui Veloso.

This concert proposes a comprehensive approach to the magnificent work of Miles Davis, from Kind of Blue to the electric period, offering the audience a unique journey through the musician's career and the profound and lasting influence of his music to the present day. Integrated into this show will also be presented repertoire from Jason Miles's most recent album, 100 Miles for Miles Davis, conceived as a tribute to the centennial of the legendary trumpeter.
