Fred Moten & Brandon Lopez

In its selection of the ten best jazz albums released in 2022, the New York Times wrote about the precious record by contrabassist Brandon López, drummer Gerald Cleaver and poet Fred Moten, noting how Moten "pursues a complete questioning of the ways Black systems of knowledge have been exploited and discarded, yet have nevertheless been reborn". In Revision, from 2025, Moten works again with López, in a deepening of the relationship between untamed language and fervent, extremely visual music. Revision is music of today, aware of the response to current political insanity and the permanent place of resistance in the African American population. As the website The Quietus writes, "it is not quite a call to arms, but rather an urgent invitation to rethink our world". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shV9VxBlczQ Revision (24bit/88.2kHz Hi-Res) by Fred Moten & Brandon Lopez
