Rather than thinking of music as something continuous and closed, this programme proposes listening to it as a construction made of distinct and independent parts, almost like a living organism.

Through repetition, variation and combination of small gestures, words, sounds and motifs, the works explore different forms of fragmentation and relationships between autonomous elements. Throughout the programme, voices emerge in permanent balance, drawing closer and moving further apart, creating sound spaces that evoke ideas of echo, light, openness and attraction. Fragmentation does not appear as dispersion, but as an organizing principle, capable of generating unity from diversity.

Inspired by the tension between fragmentation and attraction, Filamentos da Voz proposes a dialogue between contemporary vocal music and the exhibition May I Help You?, giving voice to a reflection on the roles, voices and narratives that structure the world of art.
