The trio TGB — an acronym for Tuba, Guitar and Drums — is a singular Portuguese musical project that brings together three excellent musicians: Sérgio Carolino on tuba, Mário Delgado on guitar and Alexandre Frazão on drums. Formed in 2003, the group quickly stood out on the national and international jazz scene thanks to its unusual formation and the creative freedom it brings to its music. Over more than two decades of activity, TGB has built its own sonic universe, where jazz intersects with rock, country, folk and even improvised music, resulting in an original, bold and unclassifiable musical language. With four released albums, the trio has established itself as one of the most creative and innovative instrumental music formations made in Portugal. Specialized critics have highlighted its ability to surprise and break with conventions, and its live concerts are regularly acclaimed by audiences. For this concert, the trio has invited the incredible and superlative artist, accordionist João Barradas, a musician of international renown and one of the great ambassadors of musical excellence from Portugal.
