Where the money goes
In round numbers: keeping this up costs on the order of €40–50 a month in servers and database, plus the time of the person building it. Not a cent comes from ads or paid placement — which is why support matters.

The listing has to be up at 3am on a Saturday, when someone is looking for what to do tomorrow.

Dozens of sites read every day, each with its own format — plus the upkeep every time one of them changes.
New venues
Every venue added is reading, correspondence and verification.
Primeira Plateia is an independent, one-person project. It belongs to no media group and no ticketing company, and nobody makes a living from it — donations pay bills, not salaries.
What never changes
- No advertising. None.
- No paid placement: an event is here because it happens, not because someone paid.
- No data selling — and no tracking beyond the strictly necessary.
- Open source: anyone can see how it is built.
This is why it needs donations: the alternative would be selling prominence — and then it stops being a listing and becomes a billboard. See the code.
Before you give
- Is this a donation or a purchase?
- It is a donation: you get nothing in return, and Primeira Plateia stays exactly the same — free and complete for everyone, whether you give or not.
- Will I be charged every month?
- No. It is a one-off payment.
- How does payment work?
- On Stripe’s secure page, by card or with whatever wallet your phone offers (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Card details never touch this site.
- What if I would rather help another way?
- Telling people about the project is worth as much as money. And if you know a venue that is not listed yet, tell us — adding one is usually quick.
