Leonor Arnaut, skilled in discovering new landscapes and challenging resolutions, is already one of the essential names in our new music. Essential because she makes versatility a driving force to cross sonic languages in surprising ways. A music student from an early age, Leonor eventually found herself drawn to the fertility of jazz and its freest expressions. She demonstrates a natural affinity for telluric textures and sonic spaces, but also sensitivity in interpreting singular songs. All of this flows and makes float in an already extensive course of interconnection with other creators. As vocalist of Fumo Ninja, she gave shape to forms more directed towards pop through less obvious paths, through the album Olhos de Cetim. It is mostly at this point of creative coexistence and transversal presence that Leonor Arnaut has revealed her magnetism.
