This programme explores the spirit of cabaret and scenic song of the twentieth century, interweaving irony, lyricism and a direct relationship with the audience. From the refined musical humour of Erik Satie and Lord Berners to the expressionist cabaret of Arnold Schoenberg, passing through the popular intensity of Lili Marleen, the concert alternates historical pieces with contemporary works by Sérgio Azevedo. The Suite of Tangos and the Cabaret Songs introduce a current and plural perspective, establishing a living dialogue between tradition and modernity. The result is an agile, theatrical and expressive concert, designed for an intimate and deeply communicative format.
